Timothy Chandler Cook

Timothy Chandler Cook, age 22, of Trussville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Known for his smile and fun sense of humor, he will forever be missed. A visitation in honor of Tim will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama, followed immediately by a memorial service at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest on Friday, November 3, 2023 in Harmony Memorial Park, formally known as Resthaven, in Lanett, Alabama at 10:30 AM Central Time. From an early age, Tim’s passion for helping others developed when he became a Firefighter Explorer with Toney Fire, Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service and Center Point Fire District. As an adult, those passions grew into careers with Regional Paramedical Services, Inc. as an advanced EMT and later as a firefighter with Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. He served in multiple departments and stations throughout the greater Birmingham area and finished his last assignment at Station 12. His drive for success and determination led him to a second career as a welder, starting his own business “Double C Welding and Fab”, and working with the Boilermaker Union Local 108 out of Birmingham, Alabama. Tim’s young family meant the world to him and was reflected by the unwavering love, affection and devotion he had for his wife, Melissa and baby son, Pierceton. Tim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jonathan Cook and great-grandparents, Bud and Sue Lindsey. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Melissa Hyde Cook and son Pierceton Ray Cook; his mother, Meredith Cook McNeill (Tracy); his father, Patrick William Sisson (Lindsey); his brothers, John Douglas Richerson, Walker McNeil, and Hayden Sisson; his sisters, Sophia Sisson, Chloe Sisson, Giuliana Sisson, Heather Bolton and Reagan McNeill; grandmother, Jan Cook; aunt, Elizabeth Cook; uncle, Eric Cook; great-grandmother, Janet Cook. He is also survived by numerous other family members and special friends.
