David Carlton Hardy

Hardy, David Carlton, age 71, of Chelsea, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 8, 2023. A visitation will be held on February 17, 2023, at 1:00PM at the chapel at Church of the Highlands, Grants Mill. A funeral service will follow at 1:30PM. Pastor Bronson Moore and Stephen Hardy will be presiding. Bolton Funeral Home is directing, and he will be laid to rest at Heritage Cemetery. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Connie Hardy; his children, Carmalee Estell (Dan), Aaron Hardy, Gary Hardy (Amanda), Stephen Hardy (Christina), and Michael Hardy; his grandchildren, Dominique Worsley, Brandon Worsley, Bradford Estell, Braylen Estell, Kyler Simmons, Briston Hardy, Chandler Hardy, Willow Hardy, Caleb Hardy, Isaac Hardy, Zoey Hardy, and Baby Boy Hardy; his uncle and aunt, Fredric and Joyce Kane; his brothers, Tom Hardy (Carol) and Rick Hardy (Di); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Emory Hardy and Alice Clay Kane (Hardy); and his granddaughter, Jasmine Worsley. David was a man of integrity. He was honest, sincere, and devoted. He loved Jesus, his family, his friends, and his Model A. He openly and joyfully shared his faith with everyone and lived to serve and honor God. His children and grandchildren will cherish his passion for God and his unconditional love for each of them. He was a Gideon for 40 years, a member of the Edison Model A Club, owned a shoe and saddle repair business in Aransas Pass, TX and Cape Coral, FL for 40 years, and retired from Florida Family Insurance. He was funny and loved a good pun. David has left a lasting legacy and will be greatly missed. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.
