Donna Frederick

Frederick, Donna, age 75, of Springville, passed away on December 28, 2018. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. She was born in Seattle, WA., but came to Alabama at age 10. Most of her adult life was in the Birmingham area and Jemison. She was retired from Bell South with 33 years of service. Donna was preceded in death by husbands: William H. (Bill) Camp Jr. and Buford “Red” Frederick; parents: Alvin L. Victor Sr. (Elva) of Portland, OR., and Bessie (Wood) Victor of Seattle, WA.; brother: Alvin L. Victor Jr. of Portland, OR.; sister: Marian Victor Hughes of Seattle, WA.; nephew: Michael R. Glover, of Maylene, AL. She is survived by her daughter: Kelly Camp White who was her loving, devoted caregiver. children: William Casey Camp of Decatur, AL. Richard Camp of Columbiana, AL.; daughter: Crysta Camp Bynum of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren: Daniel White of Pelham, AL., Phillip White (Kathryn) of Iowa Park, TX., Andrea Bynum of Helena, AL., Troy Goss of Columbiana, AL., and Jesse Camp of Cleveland, AL. ; sisters: Patricia Victor Glover (Jerry) of Calera, AL., and Rena Victor Saxwold of Bend, OR; nieces: Lynn Glover Talley (Keith) of Calera, AL., and Roberta Smith (Michael) of Bend OR.; nephew: Gregory and Geofrey Hughes of Bremerton, WA.; her great niece: Jaclyn Talley Sanders (Brandon) and Jaclyn’s children: Candence and Elena Sanders, all from Quinton, AL.; great nephew: Mathew Ramsey of Jemison, AL. At an early age, Donna was raised in Lipscomb, AL. with cousins and Mrs. Jean Lankford Parsons (Arlin) of Pell City, AL., Mrs. Delilah Lankford Moore of Fultondale, AL., Mrs. Beverly Lankford of Moody, AL., and Mrs. Elaine Lankford Arnold of Scottsboro, Al., and where Donna was a former “Miss Lipscomb”. Donna was a great gardener (especially trees), and also a needle craft artist. She could sew and craft anything. She was a wonderful cook, puzzle expert, drove 18 Wheelers for Bellsouth and Bruno’s. Thanks for the wonderful care at St. Vincents Hospice, especially Chaplain Wendell Dodd and Helen Gaines, and nurse, Paige Miller.
