Steven Wade Wallace

Steven Wade Wallace, aged 67, of Chelsea, Alabama, evangelist, missionary, and pastor, went home to be with his beloved Denise and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, 21 August, 2024. Steve is survived by his son, Kendrick Wallace and daughter-in-law, Lindsey Adams Wallace; his sister, Yvonne Rinehart; his brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Greg Rinehart; Linda Bradley Brasher; William Jerry Bradley and wife Glenda Bradberry Bradley; and James Rodney Bradley and wife Glenda Moore Bradley; his nieces and nephews, Phillip Rinehart (Audra); Daniel Rinehart (Dana); Kimberly Ann Bradley, Tracey Bradley Gulledge and husband Shane Gulledge, Michelle Bradley Landrum and husband Steve Landrum, William Eric Bradley, Todd Brasher and wife Kelley Smith Brasher; grand-nieces, Cassidy Largin (Chris); Ally Minor (Jonah); Kailyn Hill; Elizabeth Bradley; and grand-nephews, Jett Holley Brasher; Andrew Rinehart (Maddi); and Scott Rinehart. With eyes that often outshined his smile and a quick wit that could enliven any room, Steve testified that his goal in life was to know God, and that living a life aligned with this goal gave him his “life, peace, [and] happiness.” Compassionate husband, father, and friend, Steve cared for others in a multitude of ways, from feeding the hungry and clothing the needy to teaching children, both at home and abroad, of the joy he had found in knowing the Lord. His heart for missions and gifts of ministry touched countless lives and will go on doing so even in the wake of his passing. Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Denise “Nisa” Bradley Wallace; his father William Thomas “WT” Wallace; his mother Lucille “Lucy” Nelson; his brother, Jimmy Wallace; his father-in-law, Willie Raymond Bradley; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Hazel “Dot” Bradley; and his brother-in-law, Bill “Bush” Brasher. A Celebration of Life honoring the memory of the deceased will be held on Sunday, 25 August, 2024, at 5 PM in the evening, at Chelsea Church of God, 2020 County Road 39, Chelsea, Alabama, 35043. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Chelsea Church of God Mission Fund to be distributed among the mission projects and causes into which Steve poured his energies and heart.
