Billie W. Payton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Payton, Billie Worthington, age 81, of Birmingham, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2022. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Stacy Boutwell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing. She was a graduate of Phillips High School of Birmingham, Alabama, Class of 1958, and worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) for 32 years until retiring in 1993. Billie spent her retirement years traveling the world with her husband, Howard, and their close friends. Billie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother leaving behind countless memories of love, fun, and endless laughter. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, William Rayburn Worthington and Lorine Godfrey Worthington and sister, Nancy Worthington Strozier, all of Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard Vernon Payton, Jr; daughter, Paige Payton Stone (Doug) of Montgomery, AL; granddaughters, Payton Stone Miller (Austin) of Pike Road, AL and Sydney Allison Stone of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Ina Ray Muncher and Janice S.
