Chadwick Dwayne Shupe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Chadwick Dwayne Shupe, 46, of Chelsea, passed away unexpectedly and leapt into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Chad was born in Asheboro, N.C., to Paul and Nancy Shupe, on January 28, 1976. He graduated from Southwestern Randolph High School in May 1994 and worked tirelessly to put himself through Randolph Community College. He was an avid University of North Carolina Tar Heels fan. He married his soulmate and sweetheart, Meredith Montea Cagle, on October 23, 1999, at North Shelby Baptist Church, in Birmingham. Chad began to pursue his passion of computer sales and service in 1998 and he branched out on his own in 2012, starting his company, Foundation Technology. Chad created a thriving business with loyal customers. To Chad, his customers weren’t merely business relationships, they were and always will be his family. Chad was a role model to his niece and nephews, a true and loyal friend, and a devoted son and brother. He was generous, kind, funny, silly, and protective of his loved ones. Chad’s warmth and sweet spirit made this world a better place and he will be dearly missed. Chad was preceded in death by his father, Paul Howard Shupe and his nephew, Gideon Lamar Holley. He is survived by his wife, Meredith Shupe of Chelsea; his mother, Nancy Atwell Shupe and his brother, Patrick Shupe (Samantha), both of Asheboro, N.C. He is also survived by his in-laws: Lamar and Deb Cagle of Chelsea; Michelle Cagle Holley, of Yulee, Fla.; Charlotte Cagle Daniel, of Helena; and Rebecca Cagle Donahoo (Lloyd) of Pelham. Lastly, Chad is survived by four nephews and one niece: Gavin Daniel, Levi Daniel, David Josiah (DJ) Holley, Madison Donahoo, and Mason Donahoo. Chad’s family wishes to express their gratitude for all the love, support, and prayers received during this time. Psalm 34:18 (NIV) says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” To honor Chad’s memory, his family will hold a service to celebrate his life on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 12PM at North Shelby Baptist Church, 4100 Belcher Drive in Birmingham. The visitation will begin at 10AM. The family invites anyone who knew him to attend his service and remember his wonderful life.
