Glenda Moore Bradley

Glenda Moore Bradley, aged 77, of Chelsea, Alabama, beloved wife, mother, and friend, shed this mortal coil and went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Glenda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rodney Bradley of Chelsea; their daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Bradley Gulledge (Shane); her brothers, Carl Moore (Elishia), Phillip Moore (Debby), and Weitzel Moore (Coline); her brother-in-law, Jerry Bradley (Glenda); her sister-in-law, Linda Brasher; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews representing the Moore and Bradley families. Known by many for her Christian witness, Glenda absolutely loved spreading the news of Christ’s many blessings. She wanted nothing more than to be an encouragement to others. She’d share the Word by Internet, by phone, face-to-face. It didn’t matter what medium she chose, the message was always the same - some aspect of the Gospel. Some of her favorite verses included excerpts from the Proverbs like, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” or something from the New Testament like, “My Grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in your weakness.” Glenda didn’t just read the Bible or share verses. She knew the promises. Knew them in a very personal way that allowed her to claim those verses as her own, exactly as the Lord intended. Just like when, just a few years ago, she proclaimed one day, “It says to me: My Grace is enough for you, Glenda, for when you are weak, I am strong!!! Thank you God.” She had a drive to go to college. She would enroll and start a program and have some type of health issue interfere, forcing her to withdraw, wait, and re-enroll time and time again. After a few instances of this, she knew it was the devil wanting to sabotage her drive to get that degree. She persisted, continued, and finally through successful studies at multiple colleges including Samford, Liberty, and Faulkner Universities, that persistence and her strong determination yielded success. She walked across the stage on May 6, 2006, and received her business degree at the age of 57. As a Medicare regional analyst with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama, she was retired in 2007 after 30 years of exemplary service. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Moore and Bernice Kendrick Moore; her in-laws, Willie and Dot Bradley; her sister, Helen Horton; her sister-in-law, Denise Bradley Wallace; her brothers-in-law, Steven Wallace and Bill Brasher; and her nephew, Eric Bradley. A funeral service honoring the memory of Glenda Moore Bradley will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 11 AM at Redemption Church, 4176 County Road 39, Chelsea, Alabama, 35043, with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Reverend Aaron Knight officiating. In service as pallbearers will be: Mr. Gary Moore, Mr. Todd Brasher, Mr. Chris Corbell, Mr. Jason Moore, Mr. Kendrick Wallace, and Mr. Joe Nichols. Final disposition will be burial at K-Springs Cemetery.
