Marguerite Seale

Sarah Marguerite (Margo) Fullman Seale, born March 17, 1940, passed away on April 1, 2023, surrounded by a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11AM at Bolton Funeral Home. Michael Seale is presiding. She will be laid to rest at Johnson Cemetery. Marguerite is survived by her husband of 65 years: John M. Seale, Sr., of Tuscaloosa, AL; their three children: Erin Stripling (Billy), of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael Seale (Angela), of Marion, Arkansas, and Steven Seale, of Vienna, Austria; her sister: Karen Mitchell (Johnny), of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren: Lauren, Andrew, Adam, John Wesley, Caleb, Hannah Ruth; and four great-grandchildren: Jude, Reese, Luke and Jordan. Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents: Willie Franklin Fullman and Exer Lela Darden Fullman, of Montevallo, AL. Marguerite had many passionate interests in life. In High School, she loved History, English, and Writing. She was also involved at Montevallo High School as a majorette in the marching band and took part in school plays. She had natural dancing skills that ranged from the jitterbug to ballroom dancing. Her music interests included playing the piano and listening to jazz, opera, and classical music. Her family enjoyed hearing her play the piano. Her talents continued to grow and blossom in her career. Early on she was a legal assistant before spending a decade devoted to her church (University Church of Christ – UCC) as the secretary and office administrator. In addition to her administrative skills, she managed the Student Center and Heritage apartments owned by UCC. Marguerite spent the later part of her career in packaging sales. She was known for her detailed service to her customers and developing loyalty was of prime importance. Marguerite was an avid reader. She had an adventuresome spirit that was seen in her love for traveling both domestically and abroad. And anyone who knew “Margo” knew of her extraordinary cooking skills. She could “put on a spread” that would rival any modern-day cooking show. Her friends and family gatherings around the table were known far and wide. Dinner time and Sunday lunches were a family favorite. She often invited college students from the UCC church as well as other members to come and enjoy a feast at the Seale table. Her love for God, his church, and her family were priorities. She taught Bible classes in the elementary department, particularly the fifth grade. She had a unique style and colorful way of bringing the Bible to life and developing in them a love for Jesus. She had a lasting impact on her family and all those who truly knew her.
